Morbidity and mortality: The prevalence of this disease is wide, and the mortality rate of laying hens in the affected area is generally 7%-28%, and the mortality rate is generally 30-50%.

Mode of transmission: no horizontal transmission or very weak transmission (i.e., no cohabitation infection). 2. Clinical symptoms

In the early stage of the chicken disease, the spirit is exhausted, the head is in danger, the wings are drooping, and the feathers are disheveled and untidy. At the beginning of the disease, appetite is normal; with the increase of the onset time, the amount of food intake and water intake is reduced, growth and development is delayed or stagnated, and the body weight of the sick chickens is not increased or decreased gradually. The body weight of the sick chickens is only 1/3-1/2 of that of the same group of normal chickens, and the population presents the phenomenon of "old, middle and young".

Some chickens show paleness, extreme emaciation, and severe anemia. The feces contain undigested feed or thin strips of feces. The feed conversion rate decreased, some appeared cough, nasal rejection and other respiratory symptoms, part of the chicken swollen eyes tears, white or green loose stools.

3. the prevention and treatment

Strict control and monitoring of vertically transmitted diseases in breeders, especially those imported from abroad.

Select the breeding farm with good breeding management to introduce chick seedlings, strengthen the raising management of chicks, reduce the feeding density, and ensure good ventilation. We will strengthen the prevention and treatment of fowl pox and other diseases and eliminate causes such as malnutrition.

The use of SPF embryo derived lyophilized vaccine is recommended, especially the use of Marek's disease liquid nitrogen vaccine contaminated with REV and fowl pox vaccine should not be used.

The use of Houttuynia cordata, Minlijian, Yugankang, Flufenicol powder, anti-forsythia powder (Yinforsythia powder) has a good effect.

The inactivated vaccine was made with local isolated strains, and the experiment proved that the immune effect was good and the protection rate was high.
