how to raise layers
June 29, 2021
1. Breeding area
The breeding grounds for laying hens should be established far away from urban areas, traffic arteries and various factories to prevent excessive noise and pollution from affecting the growth of laying hens. It is best to be built in deep mountains, where the air quality is good, and pollution-free green aquaculture can be carried out. The chicken house should set up a sports field, a rest room and a brooding room, etc. The area should be controlled according to the scale of breeding, and disinfection work should be carried out around the breeding farm to prevent bacterial infection and cause disease infection in laying hens. The breeding environment of laying hens is very important to its growth. If the environment is not suitable, the laying rate of the laying hens will be reduced, and the laying hens will die.
2. Brooding period management
We need to control the introduction time according to the different breeding areas, prepare sinks, food troughs, etc. in the brooding room, and perform high-temperature disinfection on them. When brooding, you should pay attention to controlling the breeding density. It is not advisable to breed too densely to prevent insufficient food for some chicks, which will affect their normal growth. And we must do a good job of ventilation to improve the air quality in the chicken house. While ventilating, pay attention to controlling the temperature in the chicken coop. During the first week of introduction, the temperature should be controlled at about 34 degrees, and then lower by 1-2 degrees every 7 days, and keep it down to 20 degrees. About degrees.
3. Young chicken management
As with the brooding period, we must first prepare the chicken coops for young chickens. Each chicken coop must contain no more than 10 chickens, and the living utensils must also be prepared for disinfection. It is not advisable to choose a rainy day for the transfer time to prevent layers from failing to adapt to the environment in time. Feeding work will be carried out about 3 days after the transfer, when the laying hens gradually adapt to the environment. Let the laying hens eat freely, exercise properly, and feed them twice a day. It is best to train the chickens to come back and eat when they hear a specific sound to enhance the growth ability of the laying hens.
4. Management of laying period
When the laying hen enters the laying period, open the egg container in time, then put an appropriate amount of soft paper at the bottom, and change it regularly according to the actual situation. Put the feed in a fixed position twice a day. And to pick up eggs regularly, when just entering the laying period, let the laying hens form the habit of fixed-point laying. It is also necessary to check whether there are eggs laid outside the chicken coop, and take them back in time to prevent damage. Clean and disinfect water and food troughs regularly every day to reduce the number of pathogens in the chicken house. And to regularly observe the laying hens, eating, drinking, and feces, etc., when abnormal conditions are found, the specific conditions should be investigated in time, and then symptomatic treatment should be carried out.
